Mw 8.0 Northern Peru

On 26 May 2019 a great earthquake occurred in Northern Peru at a depth of 112 km. The seismic event occurred at 07:41:13 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 8.0.

From 21 to 28 May 2019 four planetary conjunctions occurred involving Mercury, the most significant of which was Mercury-Venus-Neptune about 24 hours before the earthquake. In addition, Mercury was involved in 90° angles on the 24th and Venus on the 22nd.
