On 28 July 2022 a strong earthquake occurred offshore Antofagasta, Chile at a depth of 56 km. The seismic event occurred at 04:15:04 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.1. It was the second strong tremor in the region within several hours.
An earthquake warning was issued on 24 July because of very critical geometry between the planets. This strong earthquake occurred early in the critical time-frame following the critical conjunction Mercury-Mars-Neptune on the 24th and a lunar peak that reached index 13 on the 26th. In addition, Mercury and Earth were involved in a right angle later on the 26th. Watch the forecast video below for more details.
